Banana tree
As was told when the bananas are close to harvesting a plastic bag is placed around the banana stem, this is to protect the bananas from insects. When the bananas are ready for harvest it makes it also easier to handle the stem with the plastic bag, they can go on a conveyer easier.
Rice fields
Rice fields are naturally all over the Philippines, some fields have just been harvested, others have just been planted.
Seeing these rice fields are a beautiful sight, especially having mountains in the background it makes the sceneries more attracting.
When the rice is harvested it must be dried, therefore the rice farmers to spread the harvested rice, sometimes on the side of the road is lacking of space, some rice farmers do have enough space specially to dry the rice, so if you read on a bag or a box of rice saying that it is sun dried, well you must believe it.
When the rice is dried it must also be turned over and over for a few days. Then it is bagged a wholesaler usually stops by and purchases the bagged rice.
In Camiguin Island, I noticed one rice farmer, lacking space I guess, was drying his rice on a basket ball court.
I am sure that larger farms must dry the rice differently, probably like we dry the wheat here in the USA and Canada.
